If you have not studied massage before then you will begin with swedish massage. This course enables beginners as well as people with some knowledge of massage to reach a clinical standard within a short time frame.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE
This workshop concentrates on Manual Lymphatic (Vodder System) Drainage techniques that can be utilized for practioners and carers to aid in the relief of lymphatic discomfort due to normal swelling from injury or more complicated physical conditions.
What you will learn * The five main eliminative channels in your body - the skin, lungs, kidneys, bowls and lymphatic system. * Specific techniques * A basic lymphatic drainage protocol designed to reactivate the lymphatic system. * A light manual massage * To detect irregularities in the skin texture, and make assessments about the need and course of the LDM technique.
What Else.. LD is a clinical therapeutic method, which is adapted today for aestheticians to complement light facial massage. Aid in healing fractures, torn ligaments, sprains, help to strengthen the immune system and relieve fluid congestion including common complaints such as sinusitis and rheumatoid arthritis
LD Techniques Includes various circular finger pressure motions covering small sections of the skin, as well as hand motions covering larger areas of the skin. All circular pressure motions move the elastic tissue without stimulating increased blood flow or damaging the tissue. There are two movements used in Lymphatic Drainage, the "Downstream' and 'Reasorption', which movements aid in the recovery by the venous and lymph systems of part of interstitial fluid. .
Two Day weekend x 2 workshop from 9.00am - 5.00pm Sat and Sun Wear comfortable clothing for massaging in and appropriate under garments for participation in the practical component of these days.

Where applicable, qualified practitioners attending this course may claim CPE points from their respective professional associations.
