Certificate IV presents graduates with fundamental requirements to enter the massage industry. With the focus on therapeutic / relaxation massage, the course offers an expansive range of skills and practical units, such as swedish Relaxation Massage, Aromatherpy, Musculo-Skeletal Alignment massage, and cranio sacral release, client physical Assessment, Anatomy & Physiology and a comprehensive knowledge of the history and principles of massage and the use of health industry specific terminology.
Upon successful completion of Certificate IV in Massage therapy Practice, graduates may register as a full member with a national massage association, obtain professional indemnity / public liability insurance and commence work.
This qualification provides skills in therapeutic relaxation massage including basic health assessment and treatment. You will be able to work in a:
- health care clinic or in their own clinic
- aged care facility
- health resort or day spa facility
- health service
- spa facility or
- palliative care facility or hospital
