Intensive 2-Day Course For Therapists Wendy is the team leader for our new Aromatherapy courses. She is a former nurse and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Biology with a Botany Major, and a Diploma of Remedial Massage. Wendy has gained a wealth of knowledge in this area over many years, having in the past owned and operated a business focusing on aromatherapy products. Wendy has been involved in the research and development of therapeutic aromatherapy products and continues to enhance her expertise through a practice located in Rockhampton. In this course, you will be able to gain skills that will enable you to widen the range of conditions you will be able to treat, for instance do you know what well known essential oil has been scientifically tested and found to successfully treat the herpes virus (cold sores number among herpes virus)? You will find out at the workshop which essential oils ave recently been found to improve Irritable bowel syndrome, Rheumatism, and other physical complaints, as well as which oils to use for their psycological effects on stress, anxiety and depression.
There has been an increased interest in essential oils by the scientific community and the body of knowledge concerning them and their uses continues to grow. Wendy Dockerty has up to date knowledge of the recent scientific findings. An example of this is the recent discovery that there are oils, which when massaged into the abdomen will decrease abdominal fat and waist circumfrence. You will find out from Wendy all the latest information, as well as the information that has been passed down since ancient times, and more when you attend her intensive two day workshop. In addition to all of that, attending the workshop will gain you CPE. The chemical contents of many products on the market today are potentially harmful and natural products can be prohibitively expensive. Wendy has many practical applied skills in the manufacture of skincare and hygiene products and hopes in the future to be able teach a more advanced hands on workshop for therapists where you will learn to mix your own carrier massage oil blends, make fresh creams and lotions from totally natural ingredients for your clients, and make soaps that are pure and free from any harmful chemicals. In the meantime these types of products will be available to you through Wendy. Also, Wendy's Aromatherapy consultancy will be available for you to refer your clients to or for you to get advice from.
